I bought a whole ass phone + phone mount and that came to be both cheaper and better (since larger screen, no dependency on another device, availability of GMaps which is just objectively better) than what you're showing here. I think this works only if you already have a navigation supporting smartwatch and don't want to be bothered with setting something up.

I meant even after spending so much on watch + iPhone, if you still need to jump through hoops like first checking route on Google maps and then selecting the same on Apple Maps, then just spend a measly 2k for the convenience ... does the watch navigation depend on the phone's GPS, or is it totally independent? ... phone battery is also draining, so you need to charge both watch + phone now

If you are searching for a navigation device, you can simply use apple maps on apple watch very seamlessly ... I was searching was navigation device of quite a long time, but found all of them to be quite expensive, so decided to use my already purchased apple watch SE.

Also any wear os compatible android watch. You get to use the far superior google maps and Galaxy watch FE is cheap (relatively).
