Very expensive for a desk lightโฆ
I love it but $199 for a monitor light feels steep. The standard ScreenBar at $109 has the same optics โ paying $90 more for a wireless dial is a luxury, not a necessity.
Source: RedditThe BenQ ScreenBar Plus (ASIN B07S769R5L) is a monitor-mounted LED light bar with a wireless desk dial and asymmetric optics that light your workspace without reflecting on your screen, available on Amazon.ca at around $199 CAD.

โ"Zero screen glare, no reflection in video calls, adjustable color temperature throughout the day. This thing solved three problems I didn't realize were annoying me."โ

โ"The wireless dial is the feature that makes it worth the extra money. I adjust the brightness constantly during the day and not having to reach up to the bar is genuinely convenient."โ

โ"My desk lamp was creating reflections in my monitor that I didn't notice until I switched to the ScreenBar. The difference is dramatic. Should have bought this years ago."โ

โ"Clips on in seconds, powers from the monitor's USB, no wall outlet needed. The setup is as clean as the light output."โ

Source: RedditDoesn't fit all monitor designsโฆ
My ultrawide has a very thin top bezel and the clip wobbled. Had to add a rubber shim to make it stable. Should include this in the box for thin-bezel monitors.

The auto brightness mode can be too conservative in the morning โ it reads the room as brighter than it feels and dims the light more than I'd like. I use manual most of the time.
Source: Amazon reviewerWireless dial occasionally loses syncโฆ
Very rarely the dial stops responding for a few seconds. Unplugging and replugging the bar fixes it every time, but it's a minor annoyance on a premium product.
Source: Amazon reviewerThe BenQ ScreenBar Plus is the best monitor light available and earns its premium with an optical design that genuinely eliminates screen glare and a wireless dial that makes adjustments effortless. If you work long hours at a desk and haven't tried a purpose-built monitor light, the quality-of-life improvement is real and noticeable. The main hesitation is price โ the standard ScreenBar gets you the same optics for $90 less, and the wireless dial is the only meaningful upgrade.
