It keeps getting stuck on the tiniest little lips to floor mats. Contacted customer support and they’re telling me to change my floor mat to a no go zone as it triggers cliff detection. ... At $1200 I’m not turning a no go zone on for a mat that is heavily used and needs to be vacuumed 🤣🤣🤣

The Flow 2 has solved the problem, but they can't solve it for everyone with thr Flow 1.

I agree on pretty much all of it, especially the battery life. ... It is definitely better than my Eufy S1 Pro, which honestly I loved, even though it’s outdated now. ... App still needs some work (especially dividing open concepts), but again I don’t know what it was like with Flow 1.

Even with a possible early bird discount of a couple hundred bucks, $1499 is a large enough jump I'm on the fence for just grabbing the 1 and waiting a couple more gens for a 3 or 4 for a more significant upgrade.

Flow mops better for me (and also doesn't leak from the base, which is the reason why i don't have Mova anymore).

The flow two is the best robot I’ve ever used, especially after I learned how to use it correctly in my household, which in my case is vacuuming first mopping after especially since I have five dogs, my floor plan is mainly wood/vinyl flooring with a couple of doormats, I got the flow because it’s supposed to be superior at mopping, which is what matters for me. ... Yes the flow two isn’t the best on carpets, but it’s superior on floor cleaning than the mova, also quicker, like dramatically so.

Narwal customer service is terrible. ... It's a hardware issue with the camera and since the Flow lacks a real carpet sensor, there's no additional sensor to step in. They have fixed it on Flow 2 by replacing the camera module.

I am a big fan of the Narwal. The Flow 2 works really well on our hardwood flooring. It is also very quiet when running.

I feel like the bags are the most used consumable, but that may be by design since they are probably the largest profit margin too. The other items are nice tho, and will add to the longevity of the machine. Their legal team probably advised them to include these specific items which can help prevent long term issues and possibly minimize the impact of the 3 year warranty?

It's going to be a polarizing opinion, pictures unfortunately do not do it justice because in person it looks very nice.

The biggest upgrades are supposed to be its washing ability and navigation so I will keep an eye out for that.

If you mainly care about mopping - it’s amazing and best on the market generall.

It looks great in person! ... Definitely a lot of personal preferences on aesthetics, but for me, I’m a fan!

I have the flow 2, it's a really good robot, my house dont have stairs, only to basement which stays closed, so, no issues, the mopping is great, the vacuum is really decent, they will launch a plastic container to replace the bag soon, one of the great thing about flow two is that the filter, after the auto empty remains very little debris stuck on it, which makes the robot have a longer lasting suction power, it also dont have dirty water tank accessible, so one less thing to clean, the side brush not extending isnt a really deal for me, the only complaint i have to be honest is the amount of water it uses and how often the robot washes the mop when its running.

The cabinet thing is kind of weird. Outside of me physically just shoving that thing underneath the cabinet it just refuses to even attempt. I kind of just cruises along the edge with its wimpy little sweeper. I’m for those wondering, I know how to read a tape measure really freaking good and I built houses for a living for quite a while so I know for a fact that it has enough clearance to fit underneath the cabinets.

I don’t have those models, but obstacle avoidance in general has been good. It did push a small Hot Wheels car one time, but it avoided it the next time.

I forgot to address that maintenance and cleaning of the Flow 2 (dock and robot) are significantly easier than the Eufy S1 Pro. I didn’t do any of it for 30 days so I could see how bad it got, and then put it off until it had been 40 days because I didn’t feel like dealing with it. I was truly surprised at how simple and easy it all was.

if I could add one feature to the narwal flow 2 in white, I would simply just add a protective film on (like a screen protector) on the top of the robot so the pain doesn't get scratched when it goes under things like my projector stand and kitchen cabinetry. I have a scratch on my black one already =(

✅ What Works

  • Owners report the FlowWash mop cleans better than competitors and doesn't leak from its dock, unlike a Mova unit one owner replaced it with (Mop Performance x4).
  • In-person build quality gets praised as looking better than photos suggest, with one owner calling it a polarizing but well-made design (Build Quality x3).
  • One owner running the Flow 2 on hardwood floors calls it quiet during operation and reports strong performance overall.
  • An owner comparing it to a Eufy S1 Pro reports better battery life on the Flow 2, though they note the companion app still needs work dividing open-concept spaces.

⚠️ Worth Knowing

  • Obstacle avoidance is the most-cited complaint: one owner reports the robot repeatedly getting stuck on mat edges, with customer support's only fix being to mark a heavily-used mat as a no-go zone (Obstacle Avoidance x4).
  • A reliability complaint describes a hardware camera issue tied to the lack of a real carpet sensor on the original Flow; Narwal reportedly addressed it on the Flow 2 by replacing the camera module (Reliability x2).
  • Owners flag the included accessory pack's mop bags as the fastest-wearing consumable, adding an ongoing cost beyond the purchase price (Accessory Pack x2).
  • At roughly $1,499-$1,999 depending on promotions, at least one owner considered the price jump large enough to wait for a future generation rather than buy in now.
ClearPick Verdict

**Owners are split on the Flow 2, with mop performance drawing consistent praise while obstacle avoidance draws the most complaints.** Reddit owners report the FlowWash mop cleans better than rivals like the Mova and doesn't leak from its dock, and some describe the hardwood cleaning as quiet and thorough. But obstacle avoidance is the most frequently cited theme overall, with owners reporting the robot getting stuck on mat edges and cliff-detection false triggers that customer support addressed only by suggesting a no-go zone. A related reliability complaint describes camera hardware issues on the earlier Flow that Narwal says it fixed for the Flow 2, and a few owners flag the roughly $1,999.99 CAD price and recurring bag costs as friction. **Pet owners and hardwood-heavy households chasing best-in-class mopping should buy in, but anyone with thick doorway mats or thresholds prone to triggering cliff sensors should pass or budget time for troubleshooting.**
