Battery life is short for travelโฆ
Five days is fine at home where the charger is always there, but I travel frequently and I've run out on multi-week trips. I now travel with a portable charger just for this.
Source: Amazon reviewerThe Oral-B Pro 1000 delivers the same clinically proven oscillating-rotating-pulsating 3D cleaning motion as Oral-B's premium lineup, with a visible pressure sensor and built-in 2-minute timer, at a price that makes the upgrade from manual brushing an obvious decision. Available on Amazon.ca (ASIN B0722WDRJ8) at around $79 CAD.

โ"My dentist asked what I changed at my last cleaning. Less tartar buildup than she's seen in years. I told her I switched to the Pro 1000. She wasn't surprised."โ

โ"The pressure sensor was the thing I didn't know I needed. I was brushing way too hard and didn't know it. My gum sensitivity has improved significantly."โ

โ"Simple, effective, no app required, no Bluetooth nonsense. It brushes my teeth better than I ever could manually and that's all I need it to do."โ

Source: Amazon reviewerOnly one cleaning modeโฆ
I would love a sensitive mode after dental work. Daily Clean is fine most of the time but after my crown procedure I genuinely wanted a gentler option.
Source: RedditVibration is intense at firstโฆ
The first three days felt like too much. My mouth wasn't used to the oscillation. After a week it felt completely normal and I can't imagine going back to manual.
Source: Amazon reviewerTimer noise is inconsistentโฆ
The quadrant timer vibration is subtle enough that I sometimes miss it. Especially in a noisy bathroom. Not broken, just takes some getting used to.
Source: Amazon reviewerThe Oral-B Pro 1000 is the best electric toothbrush under $100 CAD by a wide margin โ it delivers the same clinically proven oscillating-rotating-pulsating cleaning as Oral-B's premium lineup, with a pressure sensor that prevents gum damage and a timer that enforces proper technique. There is no meaningful argument for spending $229 on the iO Series 9 unless you specifically want AI coaching or multiple cleaning modes. For everyone else, this is the answer.
