I have to say I am loving Razers new minimalist approach to gaming gear. This pad in particular is instantly recognisable as Razer due to the green colour underside, yet the top doesn't have any obnoxious ott design, which imo is something Razer gear suffered from quite badly in years gone by.
Razer Gigantus V2
The Razer Gigantus V2 offers a micro-textured cloth surface that balances control and speed โ one of the best-reviewed pads in Canada under $40 CAD, with a 3mm anti-slip rubber base and stitched edges in sizes from Medium to XXL.

its a good pad, i got the 3xl version THE X-Y MATERIAL IS F****** STILL FLIPPED !!!!! its like sand paper on my wrist all the time someone from this subreddit were reviewing this pad and said only the 3xl version have this issue, i can confirm as of last week its still there. dont buy the 3xl version, other versions are fine
The entire idea behind slower VERTICAL with faster HORIZONTAL is to help with tracking corners and keeping your crosshair at head level. This has it flipped 90 degrees and left and right is super muddy. It has to be a production issue. they're stamping out these pads in the wrong direction, but the regular square sizes somehow seem fine.
Gigantus V2 for sure, the Glorious cloth pads are notorious for wearing out incredibly quickly. I used my deskmat for a couple months and within that time I actually wore a physical dip down into the pad. Never had that happen on any other pad I've tried and I have at least 30 pads atm.
IMO - 1. Rubber smell is there and stays for few days. 2. Not the stickiest pad for sure. 3. Good stopping power with smooth glide. 4. Worth it more than its price.
I prefer the V2 to the Zero. Similar surface but Razer's is smoother. And the sponge on the 4mm larger version isn't as squishy as the Artisan XSOFT. It takes considerably more force to sink the mouse in the V2 than the XSOFT.
the gigantus v2 is a clear improvement over the v1 no more raised logo.(zowie style logo instead) thinner and softer base. more size choice this is a control pad with a good balance of stopping power and speed.
The Gigantus v2 laid flat instantly. No smell like the Qck. It feels kinda like a qck, the weath is pretty similar a touch rougher, but not really noticeable. Overall a pretty good feeling pad on the wrist with little friction between my lower palm and mousepad. The Foam used on this mousepad is the stiffest i have ever felt, little to no give. No added stopping power from a soft foam on this pad.
so im not the only one who's hand gets sticky ish to the pad when sweaty or on humid days..
I THOUGHT I WAS TRIPPING BALLS ABOUT THE X AND Y. I kept comparing it to my Glorious and was like... something seems off.. and you explained the exact issue I was having with my V2.
Both the Mp510 and V2 have good control and xy differences for competitive shooters. They're just entirely different material.
I also got to try the gigantus v2 and I was using the GSR-SE before it and felt that it was faster than the SE. Although, my GSR-SE was a little worn down.
โ What Works
- Micro-textured cloth surface optimized for Razer optical sensors delivers consistent tracking speed across the pad โ pairs naturally with any Razer mouse for maximum sensor performance
- Available in multiple sizes including XXL desk-mat dimensions โ Canadian gamers with large desks can cover the full surface for a unified aesthetic and full arm sweep room
- Thick cushioned base provides comfortable wrist support during extended gaming sessions โ meaningfully more comfortable than thin pads for Canadian gamers who game for hours
- Non-slip rubber base with textured underside holds position reliably across desk surfaces
โ ๏ธ Worth Knowing
- Micro-texture optimized primarily for Razer sensors โ performs well with other optical sensors but the optimization is designed for the Razer ecosystem specifically
- Cloth surface requires periodic cleaning to maintain tracking consistency โ gaming surface contamination from sweat and dust affects performance over months of daily use
- Better as a Razer ecosystem complement than as a standalone performance pad against the SteelSeries QcK Heavy
The Razer Gigantus V2 is for Canadian gamers building a Razer peripheral setup who want a large, cushioned cloth surface optimized for Razer sensors. The multiple size options, thick cushioned base, and Razer sensor optimization make it the natural mousepad choice for the Razer ecosystem. For the best standalone pad performance regardless of brand, the SteelSeries QcK Heavy remains the benchmark โ but for Razer users, the Gigantus V2 is the cohesive choice.
