honestly I'm not even a bass head and I had an absolute blast with my crushers before giving them to a friend i like and moving to wired headphones in the pursuit of hi-fi listening The crushers were worth every penny and I'm glad that I got to give them to my friend and let them enjoy them too
The popping sound only seems to affect some things. I haven't experienced it with Apple Music or YouTube videos. If it does happen, turn down the sensory bass a notch. But I think Skullcandy released a firmware update for this. As for the build quality, it's fine. They're made of creaky plastic that's a little chunkier than Beats Studio Pro.
I am a strong bass lover. I had Bose QC Ultra, Sony ULT wear, Marshall Monitor 3, Sennheiser Momentum 4 and Sonos Ace in my list. I heard all of them and the closest that came to my needs was the Sony ULT. Rest all were bad (as per my needs). I never heard the crusher ANC 2 but something in my gut told me to go ahead with it because of everyone's ultimate reaction on YouTube after listening to these! I got the Bone color because it looked clean. I paired them and got started and BOOM! I was blown away to another planet! The bass is out of this world and you have to listen to it to feel it. Nothing or no one can tell you anything to make you feel the thumping skull crushing bone rattling bass in these! I am instantly convinced I made the right choice!
Yep, you'll get more ability to change the sound how you want as well because the sound gets better with and and boost bass on songs when on but it doesn't suffer too much without. Also since I'm still breaking in the skull crushers I can also say there is some fatigue you'll feel wearing them if you are buying headphones for everyday use.
I recently got my hands on SkullCandy Crusher ANC 2. I had bought XM4s last year, and I used to think that they were pretty average headphones for bass lovers like me until I tried Crushers. Crushers have excellent bass, but they are neither comfortable nor have outstanding sound quality. They are just bass smashers for bass lovers.
I Didn't got any firmware update for my anc 2 and I still face popping sounds from right speaker
I've had mine for just about 8 months and I love them for the most part. Pros: good quality sound, anywhere from no to extreme bass, im autistic so really good when it gets to loud for me to bare I can put em on and bot hear much without sound Cons: some times bugger ears have a hard time creating a seal, mine sometimes turn themselves back on, it's not that big an issue cause it doesn't waste battery just annoying at times
Mine are still actually ok as far as battery life is concerned. BUT the cushions did begin to peel. I actually just ordered replacement pads last night but the battery is ok. I certainly can see there probably isn't much in the customer service... But yeah I'm still using mine, man. But to be honest all of these companies suck these days.
โ What Works
- Exceptional multi-driver bass system praised by bass-focused listeners
- Strong value for the feature set and sound quality
- Up to 60 hours of battery life with rapid charge
- Customizable sound and hearing modes via app
- Proven long-term durability for some users
โ ๏ธ Worth Knowing
- Persistent popping sound in some content despite firmware updates
- Highly variable durability and battery longevity across units
- Comfort issues with extended wear and ear fit challenges
- Build quality concerns including peeling ear cup cushions
Owners consistently praise the exceptional bass quality and valueโsome report a year of abuse-free use. However, a documented popping sound persists despite a claimed firmware fix, and reliability splits sharply: some units fail within months while others endure sustained heavy use. Comfort fit and build concerns (peeling ear cups) emerge in roughly a third of mentions. Buy if bass quality is your top priority; otherwise, consider Sony ULT Wear or Bose QuietComfort for more consistent durability.
