The Arc takes a steaming s**t on the beam and you somehow got it for only $100 more. No need for the beam unless you have a full second setup you’re going for

It's a great little setup you've got going on there, my only other recommendation would be to lower that TV as much as you can without the soundbar blocking the picture.

Thanks for being objective in the comparison, don't be blinded by the Sonos Ultra boom, really in my opinion the Sonos Ultra is not worth it if you already have a Sonos Beam gen2 or an ARC.

I'd peg the Ultra as 30% better than the Beam Gen 2 but a lot of that boils down to soundstage which is table stakes since the soundbar is double the width anyways. Overall, if someone asked me what Sonos soundbar to get, I am absolutely still putting the Beam Gen 2 into that conversation. ... The Beam Gen 2 is one of those rare products where the price feels cheaper than the performance it delivers. Again, very happy with my new Arc Ultra but the Beam Gen 2 is shockingly close.

Problem is aside from a very rudimentary bass/treble slider Sonos provides no way to properly dial in the system unless you use Trueplay and even then you have no view as to what it's done or how it's interpreted your environment.

I upgraded from beam 2 to ultra too, the biggest difference is my era 300s sound bigger and fuller to match the ultra, it never sound with beam2 before
