Full transparency on our methodology — how we score products, where the reviews come from, and how we make money.
ClearPick exists to solve one problem: figuring out if a product is actually worth buying without spending hours reading through scattered reviews across a dozen different websites. Instead of writing our own opinions from scratch, we read what real buyers, professional reviewers, and online communities are already saying — then bring it together into one clear, honest verdict for Canadian shoppers.
We're not testing products in a lab. We're reading the reviews so you don't have to.
Every product on ClearPick gets a score out of 10, broken down into category-specific factors (like sound quality, battery life, or durability depending on the product type).
That score isn't our personal opinion pulled from thin air. It reflects a synthesis of:
When sources broadly agree, the score reflects that consensus. When there's genuine disagreement — say, professional reviewers love a product but real owners report durability issues after a year — we factor that in too, and you'll usually see it called out directly in the "Worth Knowing" section of the review.
Every product page includes a section with real quotes from actual buyers and reviewers, with the source named — Reddit, Amazon, RTINGS, Tom's Guide, and others. These aren't made up. They're paraphrased from real discussions and reviews we found, with attribution so you can see where the sentiment is coming from.
If something seems off or you can't find similar sentiment elsewhere, we want to know — this entire site is built on the premise that the aggregation is real, and we take that seriously.
ClearPick uses Amazon affiliate links. If you click through to Amazon and make a purchase, ClearPick may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you. The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our link or go to Amazon directly.
This is how we keep ClearPick free to use. It does not influence our scores or verdicts — we don't get paid more for recommending one product over another, and we'll tell you honestly when something has known issues, even if that means you might not buy it.
Product pages are updated periodically as buyer sentiment shifts, new versions of products are released, or pricing changes. Each product page shows when it was last updated. If a product we've reviewed gets discontinued or replaced by a newer model, we aim to update the review to reflect that.
