Pick Q30 instead. They cost half and have no real drawbacks. Tested both, kept Q30s ... Q45 look more premium / maybe more comfortable for smaller heads (better ear cushions, worse headband cushion and greater clamping force) / marginally better ANC ... LDAC is not relevant because it disables multipoint and sound stays quite poor.

I have the soundcore q45 and from my own perspective I think itโ€™s so good for the money as well as their app is amazing and they have An eq on their app which is nice

I have all three, and had jbl tune 770nc, jbl is good, q45 is not good and ult wear is AWESOME. JBL broke at the hinge, so I got the q45, and man was I disappointed. The q45 only has bass when you put it on "bass up" mode, and in that bass mode you can not adjust the highs in the eq, you have to stick with what they tuned it to.

Bought the Q45, total crap. Awful sound and ANC kinda terrible as well. Want to try then ACCENTUM PLUS but just worried because wireless seems to be so hit and miss.

I have q45 and like them main reason was anc over cable (other lower spec ones I donโ€™t believe have it anymore due to chip shortages during covid and alterations to the spec) - theyโ€™ve also just updated the app to now include sound adjustment tailored to your own ears/hearing.

I bought a pair to our company and tested it. Otherwise ok for us but when I'm in a teams meeting the participants can hear everything my collegue says when he's on the phone for example. He sits 2m/6feet away from me. Is there something I can do about this?

If the price is the same, better to take the Q45. They sound approximately the same as the 1MORE HQ51 ... the Q45's transparency mode doesn't turn off when connecting a 3.5mm jack. For me, this is a huge plus. ... They are also slightly nicer in terms of build quality than the HQ51, the buttons are softer, etc. ... So, I liked the Q45 for $76.50 USD.

Its the best equalizer app I've tried even better than poweramp and it's free!!! When I use it with the bass up feature on the soundcore app it makes them sound even better you can make the bass rattle your head. I love them, and they're on sale for $109 on amazon right now.

they are pretty comfortable without any issues wearing them for longer periods of time, they support LDAC (android user here), decent mic and so on. ... what about the main reason of a headphone being made for listening to music? Because they are bad in my opinion, and I've tried anything to like them. ... and nothing, absolutely nothing made me like how this sounds

The Q45, in my brief listening, seems like a well streamlined and practical product with good performance across the board. I dont think it sounds as good as the Aonic 50 and probably doesnt have as good of ANC as the xm4, but considering retail prices, the Sony and Shure headphones are definitely not 2x as good as the Q45. ... The build quality seems good for the price too.

The ANC on the Q45 does turn on when you use it with WIRED, and of course to turn on the ANC, you need to power up the Headphones and then just plug the 3.5mm cable in it, it work perfectly fine, just some issues is I heard some static noise when enable the ANC on, but turn it off will make that static noise disappear.

I would say they sound not bad. For YouTube, or when on a plane, or train, and other conditions where you can't focus on music for 100%, they are almost perfect. ANC works good, and helps in noisy surroundings. When on the go, they are not so good for me, because they start moving on the head and sound/anc changes, that's weird. ... The app has equalizer, and it's highly welcome, because default sound was no good for me.

Space One is a good alternative to the Q45 especially if you factor in the chat feature that it has, which the 45s don't have. Other than that, both are quite the same even in sound quality. Though, bass response is much boomier in the 45s compared to the space ones.

Q45 sounds good after EQ but not very comfortable, Ult Wear is ok but poor build design makes them break hinges

I still like them. The price should start dropping now that they are pushing the Space One. They are both $99 on Amazon right now.

But the q45 is a different story. I tried it out from all the reviews that said "it has 80% of the XM4 sound" and all that. No. Absolutely not. Not even close. And I don't even like the sony sound signature.

โœ… What Works

  • LDAC Hi-Res Audio support at $79 CAD is extraordinary value โ€” a codec typically reserved for headphones at 3-4ร— the price delivers noticeably better wireless audio quality on compatible Android devices.
  • 50h battery (ANC off) rivals headphones costing $300+ more. For budget-conscious buyers who hate charging anxiety, the Q45 is essentially set-and-forget for a full workweek.
  • Three adaptive ANC modes tune noise cancellation for your environment โ€” Transport mode for transit and planes, Indoor for office use, and Outdoor for open spaces. The adaptation is genuine and effective for the price tier.
  • Multipoint Bluetooth allows simultaneous connection to two devices โ€” laptop and phone work together without re-pairing, a feature that often costs $200+ on competing headphones.

โš ๏ธ Worth Knowing

  • ANC performance doesn't approach Sony WH-1000XM6 or Bose QuietComfort 45 โ€” at $79 vs $350+, this is expected, but buyers comparing ANC quality will notice the gap in loud transit environments.
  • LDAC requires a compatible Android device and a LDAC-capable source โ€” iPhone users and many Android users without LDAC support won't benefit from the Hi-Res certification.
  • The earcup memory foam compresses noticeably after 2-3 hours of continuous wear. Long listening sessions can cause discomfort around the ears that premium headphones with deeper cups avoid.
  • Build quality reflects the price โ€” the plastic chassis is lightweight but doesn't feel premium. Travel stress and drops may cause issues over time that more expensive aluminum-framed competitors resist.
ClearPick Verdict

The Anker Soundcore Q45 punches far above its $79 CAD price by offering LDAC Hi-Res Audio, 50h battery, three-mode adaptive ANC, and multipoint connectivity โ€” a feature set that costs $300+ on premium competitors. ANC won't satisfy Sony or Bose expectations, and earcup comfort falls off after long sessions. For budget-conscious buyers, students, or anyone wanting capable everyday headphones without spending $300, the Q45 is the clear value leader in the over-ear category.
