To address your durability situation, when you put them on, donโt hold the bottom parts (muffs) that go over the ear. Hold the upper part above the hinge to avoid stress on the hinges.

There is plenty bass . Just not that over bloated bass of the past . When will people stop thinking more bass equals better sound quality ๐
1 year in, warranty over and guess what, typical Apple behavior, right ear is making a buzzing sound. I think Apple mastered to perfection the art of obsolescence to the point everything breaks just a little bit after the warranty is over.
I have the Beats Studio Pro. I really like them in terms of comfort and practicality. But I must say I find the sound a little disappointing, lacking in bass and the soundstage is a little limited, they just sound a bit flat.
Owning them for a day I returned them ๐ They were too snug on my ears after a few songs, which is probably gonna give me a headache as I listen to music for work doing other things. I did like the Find My & Dolby Atmos/Spatial Audio support though, but I also own a pair of AirPods Pro so itโs not a major loss for me. I got myself another set of XM4s as theyโre on sale at Best Buy for $230 bc of Cyber Monday - these feel great on my head and I like the sound on them.
I have air pod pros and they always fall out of my ears when I do active stuff like running/cycling/working out in the gym. I got Beats Studio pros and have been enjoying them much more at the gym because they stay on my ears pretty good and noise cancellation is great as well.
Hey I got some recently and agree with the comfort issues 100%. I replaced the ear cushions with Wicked Cushions and its so much better now. Highly recommend.
I thought there was no bass at first, but adjusting the EQ in Apple Music changed everything. The sound is clear, and the bass hits on the right tracks.
Got em today and will be returning them tomorrow. They are the best looking, in my opinion, for headphones out there but they have no bass. Like I read people complained about it but then others say it was a matter of adjusting EQ settings. Even that didn't help. They sound very clear but goodness there is no bass. Have to put the volume all the way up too. They are super quiet. NC is not great either.
I've had the pro studios for a few months. I love them even if I have a problem with noise reduction with these. Indeed, on a certain frequencies of low to low volume, these are accompanied by a whistle. For everything else, I find them perfect, practical, autonomous, comfortable, and transportable.
I put them on, they flawlessly connect to my iPhone as they should, I press play in Spotify and I almost started to cry ... . The sound was horrific. No bass, high pitch, quiet at max volume. I was like wtf so I panicked.
โ What Works
- 40h battery without ANC is among the best in the over-ear category โ a full work week of daily commuting on a single charge is realistic. Even with ANC on, 24h is class-competitive.
- Plugged into an iPhone 15 or later via USB-C, these function as a high-resolution lossless DAC โ bypassing Bluetooth entirely for audiophile-grade wired audio. No other consumer headphones offer this at the price.
- Apple H1 chip means instant one-tap pairing with iPhones, automatic switching between Apple devices, Siri hands-free, and integration with Find My. iPhone users get a tighter ecosystem experience than with any competitor.
- The Studio Pro is now foldable โ a meaningful improvement over the original Studio 3, making these practical for travel and bag storage in a way the previous generation wasn't.
โ ๏ธ Worth Knowing
- The Beats sound signature is bass-heavy and warm โ enjoyable for pop, hip-hop, and EDM, but buyers expecting neutral studio monitoring or reference-accurate sound will be disappointed. These are consumer-tuned headphones.
- ANC performance lags behind the Sony WH-1000XM6 and Bose QuietComfort 45 at comparable prices. For pure noise cancellation, there are better options at $399 CAD.
- The Apple H1 chip experience is largely Apple-only โ Android users get standard Bluetooth pairing with no automatic switching, no voice assistant integration, and no Find My. The premium is wasted on Android.
- At $399 CAD, these compete directly with Sony and Bose headphones that offer stronger ANC and more neutral sound. The price premium is justified for Apple users specifically; it's hard to recommend to everyone else.
The Beats Studio Pro makes a compelling case for Apple users specifically: 40h battery, lossless USB-C audio on iPhone 15+, instant pairing, and Find My integration in a now-foldable package. The bass-heavy sound signature suits pop and hip-hop but disappoints listeners who want neutral sound. ANC is good but not class-leading โ Sony and Bose offer stronger noise cancellation at similar prices. If you're in the Apple ecosystem and want long battery life, these are the best Beats ever made. If you're on Android or prioritize ANC, look elsewhere.
