No floor/ceiling plumb dot…
I needed to locate the line on both the ceiling and floor — this laser only gives you lines on the wall. Had to use a plumb bob for the floor reference. Check the specs before assuming.

"Installed a full kitchen of upper cabinets solo using this as my reference line. One person, no helper, perfectly level all the way around. This tool is how."

"I compared this to my old red line laser in the same room. The green is night and day brighter. I can work without dimming the lights now."

"20 hours on AA batteries. I put them in when I bought it and they lasted an entire bathroom tile job over three weekends. Never thought about batteries once."

"The out-of-level blink saved me on a sloped basement floor. I would have set tile to a false level without it. Smart design."

The base is just a pivot for a tripod. If you need to mount it on a wall or at an angle, you need to buy an L-bracket separately. Should be in the box at this price.
Source: Amazon reviewerNot a 360-degree laser…
I wanted a rotating laser for a whole-room level line and bought this by mistake. It's cross-line only, not 360 degree. Read the specs carefully.
Source: RedditSloped floors need shimming…
My garage floor has a 5-degree slope and the laser won't self-level. Had to shim the base to get within the 4-degree range. Not a deal-breaker but frustrating if you assumed it would just work everywhere.
Source: Amazon reviewerThe DEWALT DW088LG is a reliable, accurate green cross-line laser for cabinet installation, tile layout, and general interior layout work. The green beam's visibility advantage over red is genuine, battery life is excellent, and DEWALT's build quality holds up on job sites. The 180° lines without a floor/ceiling dot and the lack of a 360-degree horizontal line are the honest capability boundaries to understand before buying.
