Everything i have tried for the titan t2 series has worked so far, and 1000 series for rep.
No. I really like it, and would recommend it, but I do have some notes on it... I am very pleased with this rack and would recommend it to others on a budget or having trouble getting a different rack
It's pre-cut 1-3/4in 2ft braided tubing from Lowes/Home Depot for $7 each... Saves my bar and decreases the noise on contact.
How do you like it? I ended up getting the Titan T3 on sale a few years ago but this is an absolute steal.
I really like it. It adds a great deal of stability to the rack... Overall though, I would not get the fitness reality rack unless I was gonna get the lat pull down low row attachment
You have to retighten the bolts after a couple of days of use. I got a couple of Titan t2 weight holders on it with weights on them, that helps stabilize the rack.
One of the selling points for me was the price and the lat pull down as it helps bring more variety of exercises. Thankfully the lat pull down went in stock and I was able to get it.
I recently bought this cage and put it together just like the instructions said. Keeping it all loose until the very end then tightening it all. Some how it still wobbles on me. It seems like one leg tilts in just a slight bit more.
Bought this two weeks ago and the price drops drastically...just my luck
It works well enough, but I actually tend to use the Titan Landmine pivots more frequently
The aluminum pulleys made a huge different in the cable system - all pulls are now buttery smooth and the experience feels more refined. 10/10 Would Recommend.
It was a really good idea to wrap your spotter bars in foam padding to protect your barbell... In the end my budget rack will have everything the $2,000-$3,000 racks do.
โ What Works
- 800 lb weight capacity is honest and handles serious powerlifting loads โ owners report squatting 400+ lbs in this cage without any flex or instability in the uprights.
- 19 adjustable height positions for both J-hooks and safety bars cover the full range of barbell heights needed for squats, bench press, overhead press, and rack pulls โ more positions than most competitors at this price.
- J-hooks and safety bars together enable solo training without a spotter โ the safety bars catch the bar if you fail a lift, which is the core safety function of a power cage and the reason to choose one over a squat stand.
- The multi-grip pull-up bar (wide, narrow, and neutral grip positions) adds meaningful upper body training options beyond barbell movements, extending the utility of the cage without requiring additional equipment.
โ ๏ธ Worth Knowing
- Weld quality is inconsistent across production batches โ some owners receive cages with rough welds or minor misalignments that require inspection and occasional touch-up. Inspect all welds on arrival and report issues immediately.
- Assembly takes 3โ4 hours solo due to the number of bolts and the need to align upright holes while holding the frame. Two people makes it a 1.5โ2 hour job. Budget the time accordingly.
- Bolts loosen with heavy use and should be checked and re-tightened every 2โ3 months. Loctite thread compound on non-safety-critical bolts reduces re-tightening frequency.
- Floor anchoring is strongly recommended for heavy squatting (300+ lbs) โ without anchors the cage can tip slightly on eccentric loading. The hardware for anchoring is included but requires drilling into the floor.
The Fitness Reality 810XLT Power Cage delivers genuine power cage functionality โ 800 lb capacity, 19 height positions, safety bars, and a multi-grip pull-up bar โ at a price point well below premium alternatives. The weld quality inspection and periodic bolt tightening are real maintenance responsibilities, not optional, and floor anchoring for heavy loads is essential rather than advisory. For home gym builders who want a safe solo training environment without spending $800โ1,500 on premium alternatives, this cage punches above its price class.
