Single-serve side is weaker than…
Single-serve side is noticeably weaker than my old Keurig for the same pods. The carafe side is great but single cup is a letdown.

Plastic taste in the first dozen brews is real. Ran several water-only cycles through and it took almost two weeks to fully go away.

Clock resets with every power blip, even a momentary one. Living in an area with occasional flickers means I reset this weekly.

Carafe drips down the side when pouring the last cup. Minor annoyance but it happens every time.
Source: RedditThe Hamilton Beach 2-Way Brewer is the most practical dual-function coffee maker under $80 CAD, and for households where one person wants a full pot and another wants a single cup, it genuinely solves a real problem. The single-serve side underperforms a dedicated Keurig, and the plastic taste on first use is worth anticipating, but neither is unusual for the price bracket. If your household has mixed coffee volume needs and you want one machine on the counter instead of two, this is the straightforward pick.
