I returned a TCL Q6 thinking LG would have better picture but the contrast is actually worse. The QNED80 wins on color but not on black levels.

The U8N Mini-LED is $100 less and has better contrast. You're paying for webOS and the LG name here.

Had to dig into settings to turn off ACR and ad targeting. Should be opt-in, not opt-out on a $1100 TV.

Magic Remote dies faster than I expected and AAA batteries aren't rechargeable. I replaced it with a rechargeable version from third-party.
Source: Amazon reviewerThe LG QNED80 is the best choice for gamers and webOS fans who want a premium mid-range TV — true 120Hz, G-Sync/FreeSync, sub-5ms input lag, and LG's exceptional color science make it the top gaming TV under $1,200 CAD. It's beaten on raw contrast by Mini-LED competitors at lower prices, so buyers who prioritize cinematic dark-room performance should compare carefully. For gaming, sports, and daily mixed use, the QNED80 is excellent.
