For $300 I expected Wi-Fi 6E. The older Wi-Fi works fine but competitors at half the price now ship with Wi-Fi 6E.

A firmware update last year broke YouTube for a week. NVIDIA fixed it but it's frustrating when a $300 device regresses on basic apps.

The SHIELD remote eats batteries. I'm replacing them every couple of months. Wish it was USB-C rechargeable like the Roku remote.
Source: Amazon reviewerThe NVIDIA SHIELD TV Pro is the most capable streaming device ever made — AI upscaling, Plex server performance, GeForce NOW gaming, Gigabit Ethernet, and the full Android TV app library in one package. It's definitively overkill for straightforward Netflix streaming, but for Plex enthusiasts, 4K HDR media collectors, and cloud gamers, nothing else comes close. The $299 CAD price is steep but has remained consistent since launch — it earns its premium for the right buyer.
