Lid can't go in the dishwasher…
Found out the hard way. Put the lid through the dishwasher and the pump mechanism got sticky. Now it's hand-wash only for the lid. Works fine but I wish they'd said that more clearly.

"The brake button is the feature I didn't know I needed. Pump, brake, done. My old spinner kept spinning for a minute after I stopped."

"I use the bowl for mixing salads, serving salads, and storing leftovers. It's replaced three separate bowls in my cabinet. Brilliant design."

"Best $49 kitchen purchase I've made in years. My salads stopped being soggy. That alone was worth it."

Source: Amazon reviewerTakes up a lot of cabinet space…
The assembled spinner is tall and wide. I have to disassemble it every time to store it. Not a problem once you work it into your kitchen routine but surprising for a salad spinner.
Source: Amazon reviewerLid needs to be seated exactly right…
If the lid isn't perfectly seated the pump doesn't catch and the spinner doesn't engage. Took me a few uses to get the feel for it. Not obvious at first.
Source: RedditCan splash if greens are very wet…
If I put really wet greens in and pump hard, a little water splashes up under the lid. Shaking off the excess water before loading it helps, but worth knowing.
Source: Amazon reviewerThe OXO Good Grips Salad Spinner is the best salad spinner you can buy and it's not particularly close. The pump mechanism with instant brake button, the dual-use bowl, the build quality that lasts 10–15 years, and the 6.22-quart capacity that handles family-sized salads in one pass all combine at $49 CAD to make this the definitive recommendation in its category. If you eat salad at home, this is the salad spinner to own.
