I prefer not having to dock or plug in. Swapping a battery in 2 seconds is much more convenient for me.
Razer Basilisk V3 X HyperSpeed
The Razer Basilisk V3 X HyperSpeed delivers HyperSpeed wireless at a sub-$80 CAD price point โ the most affordable entry into Razer's latency-free wireless ecosystem. Reliable 18K DPI sensor in the same right-handed ergonomic shape as the full Basilisk line.

Between the 2 definitely Hyperspeed ... The click and sensor latency is basically the same, and the Hyperspeed is wireless.
I've tried the older Basilisk v Hyperspeed, and it was pretty decent - one glaring flaw on my copy was the sudden disconnection for a split second. I'm glad they fixed it on this copy. It's definitely a shape worth getting imo
The 2.4Ghz USB speed is basically as fast as the wired version ... the Bluetooth mode on this mouse is rubbish and I wouldn't recommend buying it or using it in that mode unless you don't have a choice.
I dislike that the battery cover is a little flimsy. I can feel it shifting around slightly whenever I use it and it throws me off slightly.
the smoothness of cursor is really much better with Basilisk V3 X
It lasts just over a month consistently, the RGB really doesn't make much difference to the battery life although I have never tried to run it without because over a month on a single battery is fine for me.
I also use the Razer Basilisk V3 X Hyperspeed and also consider it the only mouse I need ... I'm sure I get 2+ months on a charge ... Love this mouse.
Mouse is well made, no any signs of production cost optimization, it looks clear and great ... Click and weel spin is fantastic, optimal tactile feedback and sound.
Bought the V3 HyperSpeed, works perfectly. The clicks are somehow better than my wired V3.
I have one and I enjoy it but I'll be switching back to wired when I upgrade, and not getting a Razer mouse but instead a 3rd party one that offers more value for the cost
I own 3 and have no clue what you are even talking about. All 3 have been great.
the no brainer reason I have recommended this mouse to everyone I have come into contact with is the battery life!
It is very battery brand dependent. The type that lasts a month is Energizer Max. Right now I'm using Duracell and it's lasting half of that.
I liked that mouse so much I decided to go with V3.
โ What Works
- HyperSpeed wireless technology delivers sub-1ms wireless latency at a price point significantly below the Basilisk V3 Pro โ brings competitive wireless performance to Canadian budget-conscious gamers
- Focus X 26K optical sensor provides accurate tracking across standard gaming surfaces without the glass-surface capability of the premium Focus Pro sensor
- Ergonomic right-hand design with familiar Basilisk shape at a lower weight than the V3 Pro โ more comfortable for longer gaming sessions for palm and claw grip players
- 9 programmable buttons with Razer Synapse customization at an accessible price point
โ ๏ธ Worth Knowing
- No Qi wireless charging โ charges via USB-C cable only, without the wireless charging convenience of the V3 Pro
- No HyperScroll tilt wheel โ uses a standard scroll wheel without the three-mode scrolling that differentiates the Pro model
- Better as an entry point into Razer wireless gaming mice than as a long-term primary mouse for serious competitive players
The Razer Basilisk V3 X HyperSpeed is for Canadian gamers who want Razer wireless performance without the premium pricing of the V3 Pro. The HyperSpeed sub-1ms wireless and Focus X sensor deliver genuine competitive performance at a significantly lower price. If HyperScroll, Qi charging, and glass-surface tracking are features you'll use, the V3 Pro justifies the upgrade โ but for straightforward wireless gaming performance, the X HyperSpeed punches above its price.
