Wouldn't surprise me if that side rubber pieces wear out just as the warranty expires and Razer will not SELL you the pieces to replace it because it's out of warranty

Be careful when using the middle click, the shaft built into the scroll wheel is just so thin, I often encountered ones with broken middle click on secondhand ones.
Sadly i really prefer the shape of the basilisk over the g502x (502x to me feels flatter) and level or two more comfortable with prolonged usage. My biggest gripe isn't the fact that rubber piece wore down but the fact that i couldn't get an oem piece replacement from Razer even when I explicitly told them that i will pay for them.
I bought this from a reseller and got it on sale for 120 USD. So all in all it was very worth it. Since I do a blend of gaming and work. Of course I checked the mouse and all, and so far, it's running smoothly. My hand's used to egg-shaped mice but since I mostly use a palm grip now all's been great. The left and right clicks are snappy and responsive.
I've had multiple keyboards and mice over the last 5 years from Razer and pretty much every single one has had some kind of issue so far within the first year. I've learned to buy Razer products with the idea that they are disposable passed the warranty point.
Razer is great if you know how to repair your own stuff. Every razer mouse I've ever owned, which is at least 6, were purchased as "for parts/not working" or needed new switches after about 18 months. Their aesthetic is awesome, but keep that in mind.
I tried a cheaper alternative but It was too hard to adjust to a new mouse after so long. After getting the basilisk though it felt comfortable immediately. The size and shape actually improved my natural grip on the mouse too. My wrists feel less pressure and hand more relaxed, well worth it.
I bought the Basilisk V3 Pro back in Dec 2022 and its still going strong! I need to find a way to replace the rubber grips on the left side cause Iv worn through it but the mouse still functions like it did when I bought it almost 3 years ago!
My death adder lasted me 6+ years and still works quite well, just got the basilisk v3 pro too, hoping for the same quality. I felt buyers remorse for spending so much for the wireless option but it turned out to be so worth it.
I love my v3 pro, one of the few pieces of razer hardware that is actually good. Hope you like it too!
I am very happy with the fps sensitivity
โ What Works
- HyperScroll Pro tilt wheel with three scrolling modes โ tactile, free-spin, and auto-shift โ gives the most versatile scroll wheel of any gaming mouse, meaningful for Canadian gamers who switch between gaming and productivity throughout the day
- Focus Pro 30K optical sensor with intelligent tracking on glass surfaces โ works reliably on surfaces that cheaper sensors fail on, including the glass desks popular in Canadian home office setups
- Qi wireless charging and Razer HyperSpeed 2.4GHz wireless gives both convenient charging and competitive-grade wireless performance
- 11 programmable buttons with Razer Synapse software provides deep customization that MMO and productivity users specifically seek out
โ ๏ธ Worth Knowing
- Razer Synapse software has documented cloud dependency โ some features require an internet connection and account login that offline users find restrictive
- Palm grip ergonomic design is optimized for right-handed palm and claw grip โ not suitable for fingertip grip players or left-handed Canadian gamers
- Rubber side grip shows wear over time โ the right side rubber deforms from pinky pressure after extended use according to long-term owners, affecting resale value
The Razer Basilisk V3 Pro is for Canadian gamers and power users who want maximum scroll wheel versatility, glass surface tracking, and Qi wireless charging in one mouse. The HyperScroll Pro tilt wheel is genuinely the best scroll wheel in the gaming mouse category for mixed gaming and productivity use. For pure competitive gaming performance, the G502 X Lightspeed's LIGHTFORCE switches have a response time edge โ but for gamers who also work at their desk, the Basilisk V3 Pro is the more practical all-day mouse.
