🏆 Office Chairs
Secretlab TITAN Evo 2022 Gaming Chair, Regular Size
The 4-way L-ADAPT lumbar support is the feature that separates the TITAN Evo from most gaming and ergonomic chairs at this price. Most chairs offer a fixed or non-adjustable lumbar pillow; the L-ADAPT adjusts up and down, forward and backward, and in firmness, which means you can dial in true lower-back support for your specific spine curvature.
Cold-cure foam retains its shape and support level years longer than standard polyurethane foam, which compresses and loses density over time. After two or three years, most foam chairs flatten noticeably; the TITAN Evo's seat remains supportive because the foam cures under pressure rather than cutting corners on density.
The 4D armrests with height, width, depth, and angle adjustment cover the full range of arm positions for different tasks — keyboard use, drawing tablet work, and gaming all benefit from different arm angles that standard fixed armrests can't accommodate.
The 165° full-recline range and full-metal reclining mechanism are genuinely useful for break periods and thinking sessions — the mechanism is smooth and holds any angle with no creaking or hesitation.
⚠️ Worth Knowing
The TITAN Evo is marketed as a gaming chair but functions as a high-quality ergonomic office chair. Its aggressive aesthetic (racing-style design, logos) may not suit all professional office environments. The SoftWeave versions look somewhat less gaming-specific.
At $649 CAD, this competes directly with mid-range ergonomic office chairs from Herman Miller and Steelcase. The Secretlab lacks the mesh back and decades of ergonomic research those brands carry, but the adjustability and foam quality compare favorably at this price.
Sizing matters significantly with the TITAN Evo — the Regular fits 5'4" to 5'11" and 100 to 220 lbs. Users outside those ranges should choose the Small (under 5'7", under 160 lbs) or XL (5'11" to 6'7", up to 395 lbs) version. An ill-fitting chair negates the ergonomic benefit.
The SoftWeave Plus fabric is breathable but not as easy to clean as leatherette. For office environments with frequent spills or food consumption at the desk, the NEO Hybrid Leatherette version is easier to wipe down.
What Real Buyers Are Saying
What buyers love
"I went from back pain every afternoon to zero discomfort after switching to the TITAN Evo. The adjustable lumbar actually fits my spine instead of just poking me in the wrong place."

"After two years the foam still feels exactly like it did on day one. My previous chair flattened after about 18 months. The cold-cure foam difference is real."
Source: Reddit
"The 4D armrests were the feature I underestimated most. Being able to angle them for keyboard use versus being able to rest my elbows during calls makes a genuine daily difference."
Source: Amazon reviewer
"I sit 10-12 hours a day for work and gaming. The Evo handles both without discomfort. It's the first chair I've owned that's equally good for focused work and relaxed gaming."

Common complaints
Assembly takes 45+ minutes alone…
The chair is heavy and the base assembly is awkward without a second person to hold components. Plan for 45-60 minutes solo, or 20-30 with help. The manual is clear but the process is involved.

Gaming aesthetic not for everyone…
The design screams gaming chair. In my home office it looks fine, but I wouldn't put this in a professional client-facing office. Wish Secretlab offered a more neutral design.

Neck pillow falls if not magnetically locked right…
The magnetic neck pillow is convenient but occasionally slides if the magnet isn't perfectly centered on the headrest ridge. Takes a moment to reattach properly each time.

Leatherette gets warm…
The NEO Hybrid Leatherette gets noticeably warm in summer months and during long sessions. The SoftWeave version breathes much better — wish I'd gotten that one.

ClearPick Verdict
The Secretlab TITAN Evo 2022 is the best gaming chair for professional long-session use, and competes favorably against much more expensive ergonomic office chairs thanks to its 4-way adjustable lumbar, durable cold-cure foam, and 4D armrests. The gaming aesthetic is the primary compromise for professional settings, and sizing requires careful attention before ordering. For home office use at this price point, it's hard to beat the combination of ergonomic adjustability and build quality.
