Very expensive upfront cost…
At $1,800 it's not an impulse purchase, and you need to commit to a permanent spot for it because it's not going anywhere once assembled. Great machine but sticker shock is real.

"The Sole F80 vs the NordicTrack isn't even close for build quality. This thing feels like a commercial machine."

Source: Amazon reviewerDisplay looks outdated compared to competition…
The screen is functional but it looks like it's from 2015. My Peloton-owning friends laugh at it. At this price I expected something more modern.
Source: Amazon reviewerDefinitely a two-person assembly job…
You cannot assemble this alone. I tried and couldn't hold the motor housing and torque the bolts at the same time. Get help or pay for professional assembly.
Source: RedditHeavy and hard to move afterward…
280 lbs means you pick a spot and that's where it lives. I had to disassemble partially to move it 10 feet when we rearranged furniture. Plan your placement carefully.
Source: Amazon reviewerThe Sole F80 is the treadmill serious home runners actually buy after spending time on cheaper alternatives that vibrate, slow under load, or have belts too narrow for a full stride. The 22"×60" belt and 3.5 CHP motor at whisper-quiet operation are the differentiators — no competitor at this price point matches both. The dated display and the weight and price are real trade-offs. For buyers who want a no-subscription, buy-once-use-for-a-decade running machine, the F80 is the clear answer.
