Blooming around bright objects…
Blooming around subtitles and bright logos on dark backgrounds is visible if you sit close. Not a dealbreaker but noticeable in a dark room.

Sound is fine for casual TV but the bass is weak and voices sound a bit hollow at higher volumes. I added a soundbar after a week.

The home screen pushes promoted content constantly. You can rearrange apps but the ad rows never fully go away.

Watching in the dark and hunting for the mute button every time. Samsung and LG remotes have backlights — TCL should too at this price.
Source: Amazon reviewerThe TCL Q6 65-inch is the strongest value proposition in the $799 CAD TV market — Mini-LED backlighting, 120Hz with HDMI 2.1 for gaming, Dolby Vision IQ, and Google TV in one package. Blooming and mediocre speakers are real trade-offs, but neither undermines the picture quality advantage over IPS and VA competitors at similar prices. If your budget is under $900 and you want the best possible picture, this is the one to buy.
