"I've had mine since 2020 and use it almost every week — the app is legitimately the best part, being able to bump the temp from bed at midnight without going outside is a game changer."

"The smoke flavor is subtle compared to my old Weber Smokey Mountain, but honestly my family prefers it — not everything needs to taste like a campfire."

"Great grill but just know it can't replace your propane grill for steaks — it's a smoker first and a grill second."

The Traeger Pro 575 is a genuinely great beginner smoker that makes low-and-slow BBQ approachable: reliable app, accurate temps, and tender results without babysitting. However, Traeger discontinued it in 2025 and its replacement (the Woodridge) offers meaningfully more at the same price — so the Pro 575 is only a smart buy at clearance. If you find it under $500 CAD, it's excellent value for someone who wants set-and-forget smoking without complexity.
