Heavy to carry any distance…
Seven pounds with a handle is manageable for 50 feet but I wouldn't want to carry this at a music festival for a full day. It's a set-it-down-and-don't-move speaker.

"360-degree sound means guests on every side of the pool hear the same quality. No more 'stand in front of the speaker' for good audio."

"Four Bluetooth connections let my friends and I take turns DJing without anyone having to pair and unpair. The party flow is seamless."

"Plugged my MacBook in via optical for an outdoor movie night. Cinema-quality audio for 40 people on a backyard screen. Unreal."

The 24-hour spec is at moderate volume. Cranked up at an outdoor party I'm getting maybe 8 hours. Still good but not what the marketing implies.

I use it in my apartment sometimes and I can't go above 30% volume without it being too loud. This is a speaker designed for the outdoors.

500 bucks for a Bluetooth speaker is a tough sell. The JBL Charge 5 does 80% of what this does for less than half the price for smaller gatherings.
Source: RedditThe Ultimate Ears HYPERBOOM is the best portable Bluetooth speaker for outdoor parties and large gatherings — 360-degree sound, class-leading volume output, four simultaneous Bluetooth connections, and optical input make it a legitimate party audio solution rather than a personal listening device. The 7-lb weight, real-world battery life at high volumes, and $499 price mean it's a purpose-specific purchase, but for buyers who regularly host outdoor events, nothing else at its size delivers this volume.
