Can't taste the difference from a $100 machine…
I did a blind test with my partner. They couldn't tell the Moccamaster from the Bonavita. $300 price gap for coffee I can't distinguish is hard to justify.

"The KBGV Select is worth the extra $50 over the KBG — being able to brew a half-batch at the same quality is the feature that sold me."

"I'm a barista. This is what I put in my house. The brew temperature is consistent in a way no other home machine achieves."

"I bought it for the coffee, I kept it for the build quality. It feels like a piece of equipment, not an appliance."

Source: RedditNo programmable timer on a $400 machine…
I would like my coffee to be ready when I wake up. That's it. For $400, the lack of a timer is genuinely baffling.
Source: Amazon reviewerHot plate continues to cook the coffee…
The glass carafe with hot plate keeps coffee 'warm' by essentially slow-cooking it. After 30 minutes it starts to taste flat. Get the thermal carafe.

Color selection on Amazon.ca is limited compared to the US store. Some of the nicer colorways aren't available here or ship from the US at additional cost.
Source: RedditThe Moccamaster KBGV Select is the best automatic drip coffee maker money can buy for Canadians who use quality beans and a proper grinder. It's built to last 15–20 years, brews at perfect temperature in six minutes, and carries a 5-year warranty backed by a company that sells replacement parts. The $399 price is hard to justify for casual coffee drinkers — the Bonavita at $99 produces nearly identical results day-to-day. But for serious coffee enthusiasts who want a reference-quality machine that outlasts most appliances, the Moccamaster earns its price.
