Single bevel — head tilts one direction only…
Fine for most trim work but crown moulding in a room with four corners means flipping the crown repeatedly for left-hand miters. A double-bevel saw is the right tool for crown at volume. This one is fine for occasional use.

I missed my first two cuts by 1/16 inch each before adjusting my technique. No laser means you need to be careful about exactly where the blade contacts your marked line. Line up before you cut.

My 2x12 stair treads wouldn't fit in one pass. Had to cut from both sides. A sliding compound saw was the right tool for that project. Know your max cross-cut before buying.
