No portrait pivot…
Great monitor but no portrait mode is a real limitation. I rotate monitors frequently for reading code and documents — this requires an aftermarket arm, which adds cost.

"4K sharpness is a revelation for text and spreadsheets. I can fit so much more on screen than my old 1080p 27-inch and the text is noticeably crisper."

"Single USB-C cable from my MacBook Air runs the 4K display and charges at 65W simultaneously. Exactly the clean desk setup I wanted."

"Colors look great, especially for photos and creative work. For $449 the IPS panel is well above what I expected at this price."

"Moved from a 1080p 24-inch. The combination of larger size and 4K resolution makes reading documents and spreadsheets significantly easier on my eyes."

Source: Amazon reviewerOnly 60Hz…
Expected for a 4K productivity monitor at this price, but still disappointing. Once you've used 120Hz you notice 60Hz immediately.
Source: RedditHDR is mediocre…
HDR400 looks barely different from SDR. Not a major issue for office work but don't buy this expecting impressive HDR for movie watching.
Source: Amazon reviewerStand feels slightly wobbly…
The stand has a little more flex than I'd like at full height extension. Stable once set, but adjusting height causes more wobble than the U-series Dell stands.
Source: Amazon reviewerThe Dell S2722QC is the most accessible 4K USB-C monitor for Canadian buyers who want single-cable laptop connectivity at a reasonable price. The IPS panel with 99% sRGB is genuinely accurate, the USB-C at 65W handles most ultrabooks, and 4K at 27 inches delivers meaningfully sharper text than 1440p. The lack of portrait pivot and 60Hz ceiling are the main limitations, but for pure office productivity this is an excellent choice at its price point.
